Ekerete Udoh, Publisher/Editor-in-Chief. Mr. Udoh-, who holds a bachelor and master’s degrees in political science and journalism from CUNY’s Queens and Brooklyn Colleges respectively, is the pioneer pop-culture reporter in Nigeria. He started this genre in1986, and went on to edit and write some of the most widely read columns in the Nigerian mainstream media. He is a nationally known name and is on first-name basis with all the major players within the Nigerian high-society and pop-culture. Udoh, is a member of Pi Sigma Alpha- American National Political Science Honors Society and Golden Key-the internationally renowned organization for academic high-achievers. He was the Best Overall Graduating Student in International Relations and Comparative Politics (Master’s level –Brooklyn College-2006) and was awarded the highly coveted Patricia Ruffin-Kitaw Memorial Award. He has worked at among others, Human Rights Watch, the international human rights watchdogs. He is currently a manager (Government Services) with a fortune 500 firm in New York City. Udoh holds both Nigerian and American citizenships.
Moji Danisa, Jemegbe-Editor-Nigerian Bureau. Ms Jemegbe, is the Barbara Walters of Nigerian media. As the editor of Climax magazine in the late 80s and early 90s, she was the nation’s most feared and admired gossip writer. Moji has interviewed almost everyone who is somebody within the Nigerian jet set. She currently works as a presenter on AIT-Africa’s premier cable TV network, and has covered among other high profile events, the Oscars and the Grammy Awards respectively.
Zeb Ejiro, Columnist. Mr. Ejiro is the creator of Nollywood-the popular African movies industry, which today has become an international phenomenon, upon which The Disaporan Star is poised to report and celebrate. Mr. Ejiro has produced over 500 movies, many of which have won awards and high acclaim. In 2002, the Government of Nigeria, recognizing his pioneering role in establishing Nollywood, conferred on him the prestigious and highly coveted National Award of the Order of Order of Nigeria (OON).
Omasan Buwa, Columnist. Ms Buwa, is a former Nigerian Beauty Queen and a Columbus, Ohio based attorney. Until recently when she relocated to Ohio, Ms. Buwa was a presenter of an entertainment program in a popular BEN TV station in London, England
Azuka Jebose, Molokwu-Columnist. Mr. Molokwu is the most popular entertainment journalist to ever come out of Nigeria. Until he moved to Raleigh, North Carolina, Jebose, was the entrainment editor of Nigeria’s foremost daily-The Punch newspaper, where he held musician’s feet on fire and wrote gossip about them.
Ehi Braimah, Columnist. Ehi Braimah is the former President of Glamour Boys of Nigeria- a cultural organization that unites all the leading men within the Nigerian jet set. As the current director of TQA, a talents and public relations firm, he represents some of Nigeria’s leading stars in movies, business and entertainment.
Pamela Mojekwu, Columnist. Ms. Mojekwu, now a resident of Chicago, Illinois, is Nigeria’s foremost fitness expert. In the 80’s and 90’s her fitness program, which aired on Nigeria’s main TV station-NTA, made her a star. Her columns syndicated in most mainstream media, also won her millions of adherents. She currently runs Naijapolitics.com-a web blog that has over a million subscribers.
Chi-Chi Okaro, Head, Marketing and Public Relations. Ms. Okaro has many years experience in broadcast journalism. Until she moved to the United States, a few years ago, Ms. Okaro was the General Manager of DBN Television, Nigeria’s first private television. She presented numerous award winning television programs and is nationally known.
Jude “Away-Away” Onakpoma, Columnist. Mr. Onakpoma, is the MC of choice within the African community and an internationally celebrated comedian. He holds graduate degrees in sociology.
Lanre Ijaola, Head-London Bureau. Mr. Ijaola- a former society editor of Nigeria’s leading romance/society magazine-Hints is London’s High-Society Mr. Fix It. He knows all the major actors in the African jet set crowd in Great Britain.
Donna Tillman, Columnist-An African American Nollywood enthusiast and speech therapist. She reviews Nollywood movies with a decidedly American perspective
